In version v3.3.x.x+, the DocScanFx setup application sets MODIFY permission for the USERS group on its install folder (typically C:\Program Files (x86)\DocScanFx) because it is a portable application and it contains configuration files that need to be updated.  


If you copy the install folder to another computer, or a new location, be sure to give the USERS group MODIFY permission to the DocScanFx folder and propagate the permissions to all files and subfolders it contains.


If you need a more restricted environment, only set the USERS group to have MODIFY access to:

  • DocScan.INI
  • \Resources\Forms     (and all subfolders and files)
  • \Resources\NAPS2  (and all subfolders and files)
